Dank der magnetischen Sicherheitsverbindung zwischen Netzkabel und USB-C-Anschluss kann ein versehentliches Herunterfallen des Laptops durch plötzliche Belastung des Netzkabels weitestgehend verhindert werden. Der magnetische Sicherheitsmechanismus trennt sich sicher, wenn jemand über das Netzkabel stolpert oder scharf am Laptop zieht. Das Netzkabel kann beidseitig magnetisch an den USB-C-Stecker angeschlossen werden. Es unterstützt USB-C Power Delivery (USB PD Power Rules) mit bis zu 100 W (bis zu 20 V / 3,0-5,0 A) Aufladung und kann mit USB-C Power Adaptern wie Apple USB-C Power Adapter 29 W, 61 W oder verwendet werden 87W. Das magnetische Sicherheitsladekabel überträgt keine Daten oder ein Videosignal (DP Altmode).
